Dont do it

From out of the darkness I see a light.
A tiny beam of hope ignites.

I raise my head from within the gloom
I will be free from darkness soon.

The grasp it had will soon be gone,
my time has come to journey home.

Voices echo within my head.
I thought I was...but I'm not dead.

I slowly wake and see my fate.
Tubes and machines, its not to late.

I had some drinks and chose to drive.
Now five are dead and I'm alive.

I thought my life had just begun,
now I must live with what I've done.

  1. Awesome, and the site looks great. Although the banner image kind of scared the hell out of me.

  2. This poem was inspired by someone I know choosing to drink. We have all probably had one or two and chose to drive. You cant think about "if" your able to drive, you have to think about the families on the road and the consequenses of your actions. CAN you live with yourself "if" this scenario happened to you? Think about that the next time you have a few and decide to get behond the wheel, because we all know..."It will never happen to us".
